Here's an updated zip for DX/D2 users. If you're already on thunderbolt, you shouldn't have to flash this zip (although it won't fail) - you should be flashing my kernels instead! If you're on someone else's kernel and flashing this zip to get my tweaks shame on you! :-)
v7.1 (download)
To verify that all the tweaks are in place:
- Open Terminal Emulator
- su
- checktweak.sh
v7.1
- Latest busybox compiled by yours truly.
- Modified enable scripts to work on GB ROMs.
- Easier to run check script (see above).
- SD card speed boost.
NOTE to D1 users: Been working with Liquid to develop kernels for D1 as well. Still work in progress.
Thanks! Something new come out and you forget about us :( LOL!!! Just kidding :) Thanks for all your hard work!!!

ReplyDeleteThanks man! Installing now on Liberty .5. I'll post back if I run into issues.
ReplyDeleteWorking perfectly
ReplyDeleteTried installing on Liberty 0.5 (GB .591) and got the following errors:
ReplyDeleteSysctl tweaks are not enabled!
/data/imoseyon/checkimosy.sh: line 20: pgrep: not found
Crond is not enabled!
---
One ore more mods are not enabled. I suggest that you....
When I run the suggested script, it gives me errors about grep not found, can't create files because they already exist and read-only file system errors.
Brady,
ReplyDeleteRun this script in the terminal:
sh /data/imoseyon/enable.sh
Reboot.
That's what I did on my DX Liberty GB v0.5 and then everything worked.
Hi Bradley,
ReplyDeleteI tried that and when I do I get errors about grep not found, can't create files because they already exist and read-only file system errors.
This really fixes all the sluggishness in GB with 6.21! Just taking a quick look I'm guessing it's due to the change in minfree.
ReplyDeleteYeah i believe the former values were too aggressive for GB.
ReplyDeleteJust installed ZombieStomp 1.7 over GB .595. Will installing the latest busybox or Market Fix affect the Imoseyon scripts that are included with that ROM?
ReplyDeleteMarket Fix? no. Busybox, possibly but i doubt it.
ReplyDeleteThe only reason I ask about the Market Fix (for Gingerbread) is it modifies the Build.prop file.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much the tweaks kick a★*! Can you overclock or will overwrite the tweaks?
ReplyDeleteI noticed on ZombieStomp 1.7, prior to installing the tweak (because the instructions say there's no need to flash it), I ran su > checktweak.sh and the file was not found. So I decided to flash the zip and run the command again, receiving the everything is ok notice.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to testing this over the long weekend!
I can't get these tweaks to stick, I have flashed them, manual install everything is fine until I reboot any ideas?
ReplyDeleteafter installing GB .596 on my DX I get this after install....
ReplyDelete/ # checktweak.sh
Minfree tweaks are not enabled!
expr: syntax error
Sysctl tweaks are not enabled!
Crond is not enabled!
---
ash: 4: unknown operand
Everything is good!
I believe it is the busybox that P3 included in /system/bin. Removed it and now everything works great...
ReplyDeleteDoes the remove /etc/init.d/99imoseyon and reboot method work for disabling these tweaks? Also, will milestone overclock have any effect after flashing this?
ReplyDeleteI updated to GB .596 yesterday on my DX. I used Busybox Installer and installed 1.19 to system/xbin(time stamped Aug 2008???) and I also have another Busybox in system/bin(time stamped today). Now according to JRummy's busybox Installer I have version 1.19 in /xbin. Does it matter having both since i ran the check for imoseyon(su>checktweaks.sh>and it said Everything is good? Im not having any issues. All my root apps are working properly. Should I delete one of these? How can i tell which version is in /bin?
ReplyDeleteI'd just delete them both as the tweak will install busybox anyway.
ReplyDeleteA Big Thank You to STIK! That was the ticket!
ReplyDeleteI'm getting the same thing
ReplyDeleteafter installing GB .596 on my DX I get this after install....
/ # checktweak.sh
Minfree tweaks are not enabled!
expr: syntax error
Sysctl tweaks are not enabled!
Crond is not enabled!
---
ash: 4: unknown operand
Everything is good!
You guys need to mount System and Sd Card in recovery on the DX for it to install properly! :)
ReplyDeleteNo issues installing or running in Broodcomb 4.
ReplyDeleteIs there any reason NOT to install this over Liberty 0.8? I know it already includes some Imoseyon scripts, but are those scripts tweaked particularly for Liberty, or can I get some extra mileage with the tweaks on this page?
ReplyDeleteI've installed with mounting the sd card and system and without, deleted busybox from /bin and installed the .zip, and installed busybox .19 in /xbin,too. No matter what I do I get "minfree tweaks not enabled ash: 4: unknown operand
ReplyDeleteEverything is good!" cron appears to be working.
brady, i don't think it will hurt, but if the rom has built in support for some of my tweaks the benefits will be hardly noticeable.
ReplyDelete9wire, try running this command (as su):
busybox --install -s /system/xbin
K, did that, then when I ran checktweak it said syscontrol not enabled cron not enabled, suggested I manually enable and gave the script. Did that, rebooted, all good now.
ReplyDeleteAppreciate your hard work, and personally following up. I deal with all kinds of not nice people, and what amounts to total strangers in the modding community go out of their way to help. Thank you, sir.
Pkill zygote command doesn't do anything from the scheduled time but does in emulator. Can I change the time to the evening and what would be the format.
ReplyDeleteany idea if these tweaks work or are needed on cm4dx???
ReplyDeleteHow do you disable these tweaks if need be?
ReplyDeletejoshua, the 2nd number is what you need to change. 24 hour format.
ReplyDeleteshaun, i think they should work fine on cm
thomas, remove /etc/init.d/99imoseyon
how the og droid kernels coming along?
ReplyDeletewhat is the benefit for having this? does it have to do with the ram mentioned earlier?
ReplyDeleteNo matter what I do I can't get checktweak.sh to work. I get the same error as db306. I tried installing it with /system and the sdcard mounted, tried the busybox command, and still no dice. I'm running Darkslide X (a .596 rom).
ReplyDeleteI cannot get this either, says minfree isn't enabled and sysctl isn't enabled.
ReplyDeleteDoes these tweaks work for the new .602 update for the DX? If not, is there anyway that we can get tweaks for this new version? It's the only thing holding me back from updating.
ReplyDeleteEDIT: I can confirm that "Everything is Good" in terminal emulator after flashing the tweaks and running checktweak.sh.

ReplyDeleteRunning Gingerbread .602 on my DX, I was unable to get crond to work...seems to be an issue with your compiled busybox v1.19??
ReplyDeleteActually now I am having trouble. I updated naturally to the newest .602 update and rooted using the new one click DROID 3 method, deleted any old busybox file and flashed the tweaks CWM, no luck after check in terminal. I'm thinking it might also be an issue with the compiled busybox, dont know for sure tho.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, it is a busybox issue for sure....running version 1.17.2 with no problems...I hope he can make a new working .zip for .602 :-)
ReplyDeleteWill.this play well with cyanogenmod 7: cm4dx (nightly 96)
ReplyDeleteStill kernel 32
Or would the dev flavor of cm4dx be a better playtime match?
It would be grand if something akin to
ReplyDeleteSysctl Config
Would provide a gui to allow users a fine range to fiddle with your tweaks
Yes?
List of ALL tweaks? And description / explanation
ReplyDeleteAwesome tweak. I've had it on my phone for a couple minutes and I'm already noticing smoother performance. My homescreen scrolling got a little laggy with live wallpapers, no longer have that issue. My unlocking at the lock screen is also smoother.
ReplyDeleteDX running LibertyGB v0.9.
